Paul Johnson

Paul Johnson

Paul Johnson is a consumer technology and healthcare entrepreneur, operator, and advisor with more than two decades of hands-on experience building, scaling, and leading high-growth businesses in the US and Europe. He is the co-founder and former CEO of Lemonaid Health, one of the first national, product-first telehealth companies in the United States, which was acquired by 23andMe for $400M in 2021.

Across his career, Paul has worked at the intersection of technology, healthcare, and regulated industries, leading businesses from early-stage startup through large-scale operations. He has held senior leadership roles in both venture-backed and public companies, with responsibility spanning product, engineering, marketing, operations, medical, pharmacy, partnerships, and international expansion. His experience includes running P&Ls from tens to hundreds of millions of dollars and leading teams from small founding groups to organizations of several hundred people.

Following the acquisition of Lemonaid, Paul ran the global consumer business at 23andMe. Earlier, he held executive roles at LloydsPharmacy and Zooplus, where he built and turned around digital and e-commerce businesses, launched new markets, and drove profitable growth in complex, competitive environments.

Today, Paul is a General Partner at Flex Capital, an early stage technology venture fund. Paul also advises founders and leadership teams as a board director and executive coach. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science and Business Management and began his entrepreneurial career at a young age, founding online businesses while still in school.
