March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and the message is more urgent now than ever. As Colorectal Cancer (CRC) continues to rise in adults younger than 50, here's what you need to know:
Illustrated by the JAMA Network, colorectal cancer has gradually risen from the fifth most common to the most common cancer death in the past 3 decades.
JAMA urges, “As 3 of 4 patients younger than 50 years are diagnosed with advanced CRC, educating clinicians and the public about unique red flag symptoms, like hematochezia [blood in stool] and abdominal pain, could facilitate earlier diagnosis and receipt of timely treatment.”
Luckily, at-home colorectal health screenings, like the 2San Colorectal Health Test, are a private and convenient way to take the first steps in your colo-health. Early diagnosis can allow for more treatment options and effective management of the disease for Better Care, Better Life.
These trends challenge us to urgently rethink prevention. To explore the full JAMA article*, visit: https://lnkd.in/e_VGzctY
